Considerate Contractor - St Edmund the King & Martyr, Lombard Street, London

In recognition of the careful planning and considerate management of this project our Senior Projects Manager and Site Manager were presented with Gold Awards from the Corporation of London's Considerate Contractor Scheme in November 2005.

First & Third Prize in the 'Practical Examination in the Craft of Joinery', Joiners & Ceilers Awards 2006

Hosted by the Worshipful Company of Joiners & Ceilers in July 2006, two Killby & Gayford apprentices won first and third place in the 'Practical Examination of Joinery' category.

The Richmond Society Award - St Elizabeth of Portugal, The Vineyard, Richmond

K&G were presented with this reward as acknowledgement of the positive and beneficial contribution to amenity in Richmond that the refurbished project provides.

The Civic Trust Awards 2004, Mention: Restoration of St. Mary's Church

The Civic Trust Awards scheme is one of the largest and most respected architectural and environmental design awards in Europe. This year our restoration of St. Mary's Church, Ealing was listed in the 'Mentions' category. Press Cutting / Certificate

Issued by the 'Contractor Accreditation Scheme for Business' for reaching their health & safety standards.

First & Second Prize in the 'Practical Examination in the Craft of Joinery', Joiners & Ceilers Awards 2003

Hosted by the Worshipful Company of Joiners & Ceilers in July 2003, two Killby & Gayford apprentices won first and second place in the 'Practical Examination of Joinery' category.

Best Builder 2002 (Runner-up), Islington Access Awards - Guardian Visitors Centre

This award is shared by Guardian Newspapers, Allies & Morrison Architects and Killby & Gayford Ltd. for their efforts to make the Guardian Visitors Centre accessible to disabled people.

John Smith Award for Craftsmanship, Copper in Architecture Awards 2001 - St. Cuthbert with St. Matthias Church

The repairs to St. Cuthbert with St. Matthias church roof and restoration of its copper clad flèche, complete with original ornamentation, was highly commended in the John Smith Award for Craftsmanship in the Copper Development Association's Copper in Architecture Awards 2001.

Carpenters' Award 1999 - Unilever House, London

By extensively remodelling an existing auditorium in Unilever House, London our Joinery division won the coveted Premier Major Award category. The Award is presented biennially for construction projects that demonstrate outstanding craftsmanship, design skills in joinery, timber construction and conservation of woodwork.

Special Safety Award - presented by Unilever plc

The remodelling of an existing auditorium in Unilever House was completed in just 19 weeks without any safety incidents; a fact that impressed Unilever so much that they presented us with a special safety award.

Considerate Contractor - 68 Lombard Street, London

In recognition of their dedication and commitment, two of our Site Managers were presented Gold Awards from the Corporation of London's Considerate Contractor Scheme for the refurbishment of 68 Lombard Street, London.

Specialist Contractor of the Year 1998 - Stockley Park, Middlesex

Our joinery division was highly commended in the 'Specialist Contractor of the Year' category of the 'Quality in Construction Awards 1998' for No.3 The Square, Stockley Park, Middlesex for the design, manufacture and installation of timber fascia panels.
