BT5: Bulk Transfer Unit

The Bulk Transfer Unit is designed to allow the safe and easy transfer of bulk cash, computer tapes, deed boxes, drugs, packages, etc. between secure and non-secure areas without the need to open the security door. With the capacity to transfer packages as large as 410 x 520 x 260 mm, this unit is useful in a whole range of situations - for hospitals, supermarkets, petrol stations, banks, etc.

The Bulk Transfer Unit can be installed through counters and external & internal walls (up to 330mm thick without modification), at any convenient height. The doors are interlocked to prevent them from being opened at the same time. The front face of the unit has a flange which masks irregular edges of openings in the wall and which is designed to dissipate energy onto the surrounding wall in the event of a physical attack to the outer door. The doors are bottom hung and fitted with gas-assist to make them easy to raise and lower. When lowered they become convenient shelves from which to lift heavy containers into or out of the unit.

The BT5 uses a push-pull lever to unlock each of the doors in turn. Interlock is effected by a gate mechanism. Supplied with a BT7 leg frame support.
