Killby & Gayford was selected as the principal contractor in the refurbishment and development of the education centre and interpretation facilities at St Paul’s Cathedral.

The Works included:

  • Strip out of the existing Treasury, storage area and aisle under the north trancept.
  • Reduced level dig in the crypt area to increase the height of this space to allow a raised floor to be installed.
  • Construction of partition walls to divide the Education Room and the Interpretation Room.
  • Construction and fit out of new toilet facilities.
  • Formation of a new mezzanine floor to house a plant room and office.
  • Upgrade of existing mechanical and electrical services as well as the rerouting and concealment of existing service runs through the area.
