Alpha Bank

This Killby & Gayford project involved the fast track design and manufacture of three high quality private meeting room pods, reception desk, privacy screens and wall panelling for the Alpha Credit Bank.
The meeting room pods are attractive, private spaces that complement the modern, high quality interior of the clients’ office space. Each has a faceted exterior clad in cherry veneer and a curved interior lined in bamboo. The pods are capped by domed fibrous plaster roofs with frosted glass cupolas to allow in natural light. Access to each pod is provided by two doors, individually shaped to match the overall design so that, when closed, they blend invisibly into the pod walls. The designs discreetly incorporate all the services required for prestigious meeting rooms, including air conditioning, lighting, data and power.

Due to the complexity of the pod shapes, a computer based “fit test” was undertaken using a 3D simulation package to verify the accuracy and buildability of the design. The pods were then manufactured and assembled in the factory to ensure they fitted correctly before being deconstructed, labelled and reassembled on site.
