Royal Hospital Chelsea - Wards

Killby & Gayford were contracted to remodel wards 23 & 24 of this listed building to provide 34 single person berths with en-suite wet rooms, kitchen and laundry facilities and assisted bathrooms.

The works involved:

• Demolition and alteration to existing fabric and new structural works.
• Two new staircases.
• New roof lights and roof coverings.
• New mechanical electrical and public health services and drainage.
• Basement strip out.
• Creation of 34 berths with en-suite and common areas.
