American Intercontinental University

Killby & Gayford were employed by ‘The American Intercontinental University’ to undertake a series of external repairs and cleaning to the 4no. buildings on AIU’s London campus.
Full design scaffolds were erected to the 4no. buildings, both internally and externally to ensure full access was gained to the works area. The extent of the external repair works included the supply and installation of 3no. large glazed roof lights, new slate roof coverings, repair, replacement & re-pointing works to existing brick & stonework, localised joinery repairs to windows, full external decorations, external lime stone cleaning along with various new lead roof coverings across the campus.
The key to this project was to undertake as much of the works as possible outside of term time during the summer break. Close liaison with the facilities team at AIU was a key part of our works to ensure any disruption to the day to day running of the campus was kept to a minimum.
